COVID 19 GUIDELINES

​

Number of participants allowed in a facility at a given time:

  • 2 participants on every court 

  • Check-in: 6 foot distance between players. Facilities to have markers on the ground spacing six feet  

 

Facility usage limited to: 

  • Singles Play – 1 hour

  • Lessons (1-v-1) – 1 hour

  • No doubles, clinics and programming allowed

 

Front Desk Interactions – Court Bookings, Payments, Checking-in:

  • Court booking to occur via phone

  • Names of both players to be given at booking

  • Bookings to occur the day prior

  • Players to pay online prior to coming to play

  • Staff will use credit cards on file

  • If player fails to pay, it will be noted and will limit future play and/or being able to book. 

  • Check-in process – little to no interaction between the front desk and the players

  • No Cash or Credit Card transactions to be occurring on site

  • Court Bookings to take place at staggered times to limit interaction

  • 7:30 / 8:40 / 9:50 / 11:00 / 12:10 / 1:20 / 2:30 / 3:40 / 4:50 / 6:00

  • Players must exit the facility upon completion of the hour

Facility Entrance and Exit:

  • Players to enter the facility through the main entrance and to exit through an alternate exit

  • Directional signage will be utilized to inform players of exits and entrances

Monitoring the Courts:

  • Staff to monitor courts and interaction of players as well as facilitate entering and exiting of courts

Staff and Customers to wear masks entering and exiting the facility:                 

  • Masks only to be removed once on the court before play

  • Masks to be put back on upon exiting courts

  • Plastic Barriers is an additional option at the discretion of the Tennis Center if a 6 foot distance cannot be established from the front desk.

 

Tennis players to furnish their own balls for play for singles.​

 

Preparing to Play:

  • Disinfect hands before going on to court

  • Clean and wipe down your equipment. No sharing

  • Bring full water bottle to avoid touching a tap or water fountain handles 

  • Use new ball and grips if possible

  • Consider wearing gloves

  • Arrive as close as possible to time of play

  • Avoid touching gates, fences, etc. if you can

 

When Playing:

  • Try to stay 6 feet apart

  • Avoid incidental contact

  • Avoid touching face after handling ball, racquet and equipment.

  • Avoid sharing food, drinks or towels

  • Stay on your side of the court. Avoid changing ends of the court 

  • Use your racquet/foot to pick up balls and hit them to your opponent or other courts. Avoid using hands.

After Playing:

  • Leave the court as soon as possible 

  • Use hand sanitizer coming off the court

  • Do not use the locker rooms

  • No Congregating after playing

  • All players should leave the facility immediately

 

Use Four or Six Balls:

  • Open 2 cans of tennis balls that do not share numbers

  • Player 1 gets one set of numbers and Player 2 gets another. Players to pick up their ball with their number only

 

No coolers on the courts nor water fountains will be available and fountains to be covered.

 

No selling of merchandise, drinks or stringing to occur prior, during or after court use.

 

Indoor/Outdoor Furniture:

  • Benches and umbrellas to be removed from courts

  • Remove indoor furniture if possible

 

Hitting Wall:

  • One person at a time limited to 30-minutes on a first come, first serve basis.

 

Staff to wipe down door handles on an hourly basis:​

Pros/Coaches & Lessons:

  • To use dedicated equipment (ie. Ball basket) for lessons

  • Responsible for picking up balls

  • Player is not to assist with picking up of balls with their hands

  • Must wipe down equipment once done using

 

  • Facility to communicate with players regarding rules for current use

 

 

Restrooms:

  • One person at a time

  • Usage to be limited to one ADA Stall

  • To be disinfected after each use

  • Tennis Players only

 

  • Tread blasters to be removed
